When you come to think of it, the question makes sense right? What’s more important? The medicine or the medical store? The bread or the bakery? The book or the bookstore?
In situations of dire need, we always rely on availability. No matter how far the medical store is, if it’s got the medicine you are looking for, then you’d be there in no time. But when you are lazing out on your couch, on a saturday afternoon, you won’t be encouraged to travel too far to your favourite food joint. That’s where accessibility plays a role. You look for a food joint that’s closer to you and maybe even delivers food at your doorstep.
So what’s more important? Frankly, both are. Availability of a product is as important as its accessibility and vice versa. While there is a belief that accessibility can be monitored, availability can’t. It’s not until you reach the preferred destination do you know, if you can find what you are looking for. But there is one way to monitor availability as well.
